STEP 1 Why do you want to have a website? What’s the purpose of the website? What do you want to Achieve?

STEP 2 Who is your target market? What are the demographics? (age, sex, computer literacy, Internet connection, income, location etc.)

STEP 3 Who are your competitors? What are their websites like? What can be learn from your competitors? What will distinguish your website?

STEP 4 What are the content requirements of the site? Please specify what content will be on each page

STEP 5 What are the technology requirements of the site? A CMS (Content Management System), Shopping cart, Animation etc

STEP 6 What is the look and feel that is desired? Are any specific colors, fonts or design required? What overall image is desired?

STEP 7 What websites have you seen that you particularly like? What is it that you like about them?

STEP 8 Do you have a company logo? If not, do you want one? If so, does color matching need to be exact?

STEP 9 When will all the content be completed? Will all the content be in electronic form?

STEP 10 Do you require web hosting, and or a Domain Name?

STEP 11 Is there a deadline for completion of website?

STEP 12 What budget approximately has been allocated to the website?

STEP 13 Who will be the primary liaison person we will work with? How much authority do they have in decision making? How much time will be allocated for website related research, organization, content design and proofing etc.?
